What Are You Excited to Plant This Year?

By Jen Risley (May 24, 2016)

In our May 2016 newsletter we asked readers: What are you excited to plant in your garden (or fields) this year?

Here’s what they told us (so far!):

  • Lonicera_coerulea_a3The North Country Farmers are testing out several varieties of honeyberries and other perennial berry bushes this year.  We are hoping to find local markets for these fruits, and create a demand so that our northern farms will have a profitable product that doesn’t compete with the abundant supply of zucchini and other crops that have to be replanted every year! – Julie Moran, North Country Farmers Co-op
