9549winter-vegetables-305x200Say “farms” in northern New England and people think of Vermont. But maybe they should think of New Hampshire.

“We had 30 indoor farmers markets this past winter, a phenomenal jump from three that we had a couple of years ago,” said Gail McWilliam Jellie, director of the New Hampshire Division of Agricultural Development. “Growers are producing to be part of those winter markets, growing more storage crops, putting up hoop houses to have greens in the off-season.”
