Farm & Forest Expo Event: How Do Women Farmers Contribute to New Hampshire Agriculture?

By New Hampshire Farm & Forest Expo (December 8, 2015)

How Do Women Farmers Contribute to New Hampshire Agriculture?
Saturday, January 23, 2016: Noon – 1pm (During the NH Farm & Forest Expo)

Together author Helen Brody and Photographer Leslie Tuttle visited over 100 farms to discover the important ways that today’s women farmers contribute to making a modern farm prosper. The result is their newly published book, New Hampshire Women Farmers: Pioneers of the Local Food Movement.

In their presentation, Helen, president and founder of the New Hampshire Farms Network (Expo Floor Booth 510) speaks of what she learned in getting to know these women and photojournalist, Leslie Tuttle, tells about her experiences photographing for the book. They hope the audience will ask questions and suggest other women farmers who have helped to build their farm and who can be profiled for the NHFN website by one of its writers. Author and photographer book signing after the program.

Location: Pierce 12-1
