Northeast Agriculture:The Next Ten Years

“Northeast Agriculture – The Next Ten Years” is the topic of an 18 minute video
released by Farm Credit East. The video seeks perspectives from three experts
on changes and opportunities facing farming and farm related businesses.
“Agriculture in the Northeast is a strong and vibrant part of our economy and the
outlook over the next ten years is optimistic,” said Bill Lipinski, Farm Credit East
CEO. “This video provides an opportunity for our farms and related businesses to
hear views and advice from expert panelists so that their businesses can continue to be
successful into the future.”The panel of experts included Kathryn
Boor, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University; Dr.
David Kohl, Professor Emeritus, Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management
and Entrepreneurship, Virginia Tech; and Chuck Conner, CEO and President, National
Council of Farmer Cooperatives.The video, moderated by Lipinski, was
debuted at the organization’s nineteen member meetings held throughout their six state
territory of New York, New Jersey,Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island
