Chester County Conservation District Grant Applications Due

REMINDER – Applications due April 30th:

The Conservation District is accepting  Conservation Grant applications from organizations, municipal boards, and individuals in Cheshire County that are interested in doing physical environmental projects that foster stewardship of the County’s natural resources.  The CCCD Conservation grant program seeks to fund projects that yield “on the ground” results.  One grant  of up to $3,000 will be awarded to be implemented during 2012.  Projects should qualify in at least one of the following four project categories.

1. Preserve, protect, and/or conserve water quality

2. Restrore, enhance and/or conserve wildlife habitat

3. Reduce, prevent and/or manage soil erosion and/or flooding

4. Implementation of Best Management Practices for agriculture, forestry, or storm water management.
