Celebrate 150 Anniversary of USDA – Vendors Needed

Vendors are wanted for special one-day farmers’ market held in Loudon, NH on August 1, 2012 from 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (rain or shine) to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA). The event will be held at a local farm that is older than the USDA. Approximately 400 guests are expected. The farmers’ market will be part of a larger event including farm tours, speakers, displays, and other activities.If you are interested in participating, please respond by June 15, 2012 via e-mail to: NHDAMF at                                            

There is no fee to participate and all accepted vendors will be located
under one large tent provided by the event planners. However, due to event size and location, all vendors may not be accommodated. The event planners are looking for a variety of local food/products including, but not limited to: vegetables, fruit, flowers, eggs/milk/dairy/ice cream, maple, and a variety of meats, poultry, and fish. Vendors who meet the criteria listed below will be selected on a first come, first served basis in particular product categories.

Applications for inclusion in this event will be evaluated based on the following criteria that should be
included with your response:

—Your name/business
—Your email and telephone number
—Certificate of Insurance
—A description of your product(s)
—If you sell meat, documentation
of USDA inspection
—Will you provide samples? If so,
to what extent?
—If applicable, a short paragraph
on how USDA programs have helped
—Photo release (a signed statement
stating that you allow the USDA
to use any photos of you and/or your
products in publications about the
